Berry Cobbler
Baked Goods

This cobbler is like Grandmother Garnet Cloud sed to make. Harold used to bring home

berries that he had picked along the railroad in his lunch-bucket and she would make his

favorite pie or cobbler and sometimes, if there was enough berries, jelly. Yum!

1 cup sugar

1 cup flour

1 cup whole milk

2 teaspoons baking powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/2 cup butter, melted

1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

Preheat oven to 375o

Stir together berries and sugar in medium bowl.

let stand 25 minutes.

Whisk together flour, milk, baking powder and salt in medium bowl.

Stir in melted butter until well mixed.

Spread batter into an ungreased 8 inch square pan.

Spoon berry mixture over batter, sprinkle with cinnamon

Bake at 375o for 45 to 50 minutes or until bubbly and golden brown.

Serve warm with ice cream. (I like mine with milk.)
